'These are the standards we need to build on' - Pereira

Pedro Pereira says City can use Saturday’s draw at Millwall as a marker to push on and compete in the remaining ten games of the season.

Pereira’s strike, his second goal of the campaign, gave City a first half lead at the Den, before Millwall struck back with an equaliser in the second half.

The draw ended a three-game losing streak for the Robins and now City can build on the point, starting with the visit of Fulham this weekend – a game which sees the club celebrate their 125th season.

“Yes I think this should be the standard and now from this game we can only improve and start to be more calm on the ball,” Pereira said.

“[To] keep the ball and start to feel more confident with each other and with the ball and try to build on better performances and better results.”

The right-back, on loan from Benfica, believed City showed leadership to get a result at the Den and it is those qualities which they must show going forward.

“I could feel it outside of the pitch, we felt it like inside really, everyone was talking and helping each other,” Pereira continued. “I think we need to continue this track, keep being good teammates and have the leaders inside and off the pitch, it will help everyone perform better and get better results.”
