Preview: Luton Town (H)

City go in search of ending the year on a high when they host Luton Town at Ashton Gate on Sunday (December 29th, 3pm KO).

Lee Johnson's men will want to go into 2020 in good high spirits and put an end to the current run with home advantage this weekend.

Graeme Jones' side beat City at Kenilworth Road in October, though have only recorded two further victories since then - 7 points in total - as they linger in the relegation zone.

MEMORABLE FIXTURE

Bristol City 3-1 Luton Town
Saturday, April 28th 2001
Ashton Gate
Division Two
Scorers: Aaron Brown 35, 65, Tony Thorpe 78.
Att: 9,161

The Hatters may have already been relegated though poor finishing cost them at Ashton Gate. The game itself wasn't the greatest of spectacle but the Robins secured all three points despite two first half efforts cleared off their own goal line. Sloppy defending proved costly for Brown's goals.

Bristol City XI: Phillips, Carey, Hill, Clist, Burnell, Tinnion, Murray, Da Silva, Peacock, A Brown, Bell.
