Johnson seeking the right balance

City travel to Huddersfield on Tuesday night where Lee Johnson wants his players to show their steel.

An electric first half helped City to a comfortable 5-2 win over the Terriers at Ashton Gate earlier in the season, with both sides competing at differing end of the Sky Bet Championship.

A repeat performance can help put a run to recent form, with City suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of Leeds United and West Brom.

City Head Coach Johnson says he expects a fighting, spirited display from Huddersfield, who sit two points from safety ahead of tonight’s encounter at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Johnson said: “No, I think they (Huddersfield) are very different to what they were then. They are fighting for their lives down there. It’s a trip up to Yorkshire and we have to go there and be better.

“We’ve got to make sure we pick a team of individuals that can get that balance. It’s the Ying and the Yang versus the release of the attacking players, quality and flare more importantly, versus the steel…we have missed that in the last couple of games. That’s there for everybody to see but somebody has got to take that mantle.”
