From facing Brazil to Bedfordshire

Famara Diédhiou returns from international duty determined and confident with City preparing to face Luton Town on Saturday (October 19th, 3pm KO).

The Senegal striker scored to send City into the break with a win, before a goal on his first international call-up for two years as his country held Brazil in a 1-1 friendly.

“All good! Very good,” was how he described the last week. “I come back to play with the national team, I’m very happy to score against Brazil, a good team and I enjoyed it.

“It was unbelievable. I’m very happy. It was two years ago since I was last called up so for it to happen again made me happy. I was happy to play, to score and it was a good moment.”

Now City, who are unbeaten in the Sky Bet Championship since the opening day of the season, will be backed by a sold-out away end at Kenilworth Road.

Diédhiou said: “That’s unbelievable, to be honest. We like when the fans are here with us, keep supporting us. That is good for us, helps the team move forward and work hard to win the game.

“There is determination and confidence from going up the league and we are ready, to stay focused in the Championship. Against Luton this Saturday we want to do our best during the game.”

Though City's trip to Bedfordshire is sold out, tickets remain on sale for City's next two homes versus Charlton Athletic and Wigan, respectively.
