Club statement: COVID-19

Following the announcement by the FA, Premier League, EFL and Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship that the professional game in England has been postponed until April 3rd at the earliest, Bristol City have issued the following statement.

City Chief Executive Officer Mark Ashton said: “This decision has not been taken lightly and the health and well-being of players, staff and supporters is paramount.

“On behalf of the club I would like to thank you for your continued support and understanding and would re-iterate that health protection is the top priority for everyone at this moment.

“As a club we will continue to be in constant dialogue with the relevant authorities, and when in a position to do so, we will provide further updates.”

The postponement will include Bristol City Women’s fixtures and all Bristol City Academy fixtures.

We recognise that City supporters will have many questions which we hope will be answered here.
